It's a great day out with free activities and entertainment to interest all the family! Be sure to come by and say hello, buy a ticket or 2 in our fantastic raffle, see the Dog-A-Long walking harnesses and best of all meet Jed the Wonder Dog.

Ho! Ho! Ho!

We are really excited to announce details for our next fundraising event which you are all invited to!

BOL - Bark Out Loud aims to raise money for a selected shelter or other similar organisations through a day of fun and socialisation. There will be games, prizes and heaps of chances for your dogs (and yourselves) to socialize, thrive and have fun!

And as it's getting close to Xmas, there will be some great Xmas themes happening on the day.

Other activities held on the day will include: . Obstacle Course . Guess how Many . Fancy Dress (Xmas theme) . Sausage Sizzle . A Treat Stand - so while you're having lunch, your pooch can choose from many delectable treats . Other Games . A flyball demo from our fab Dogtreers Bowie and Willow . And of course, time for the dogs to play and run!

Ruffey Lake Park... Pets 'N' Pals Walk

Our next exciting fundraising day is a Pets 'N' Pals Walk for 2 and 4 legged folk alike. A great day planned with fun activities for all the family including free show bags for the 1st 300 registrants, sausage sizzle, jumping castles, mega-raffle, stalls and a walk around the beautiful Ruffey Lake Park starting at the George Street / Boulevard entrance in Doncaster. http://www.melbourneplaygrounds.com/melbourneplaygrounds-info.php?id+195555/

Registration cost is $15 per adult and kids are welcomed FREE. 100% of registration, donations and funds raised are guaranteed to go directly to saving a family pet who would otherwise be euthanised when their owner can't afford to save them. Come down with your 2 and 4 legged friends, register for the walk and have a great day out, all while making a difference for pet owners who can't afford the cost of emergency care for their best friends.

Look out for our team of yellow shirted volunteers directing the walk and add your own support by wearing something yellow too. You'll be able to start your day off with some Zumba moves to get everyone warmed up and ready for anything.... then buy a ticket in our fantastic raffle and check out the wonderful Dog-A-Long Walking Harnesses for pets with mobility problems, as demonstrated by Jed the Wonder Dog.

Experience Bowens therapy massage - for dogs and their humans, Therapeutic massage techniques to help your dog optimize their wellbeing, have your pet's nails groomed, award winning pet photographer Brett Jacques capturing you and your pet in action, kids entertainment and much more.

Nillumbik Pet Expo

Please join us at the 15th Annual Nillumbik Pet Expo on Sunday 31st October 2010 at the Marngrook Oval, Main Hurstbridge Road, Diamond Creek between 9 and 4pm

The Pet Expo features a variety of displays, demonstrations and shows to amuse kids and adults alike. Owners are encouraged to bring their pets making it a great occasion to show off their four-legged, feathered or scaly family member.

There is a walk starting at 9am and you're very welcome to bring your pet to join in on this fun walk. The Expo starts at 10am and you'll find us onsite with Jed the Wonder Dog promoting the Pet Medical Crisis Fund. Look out for our team of yellow shirted volunteers with donation tins and don't forget to buy a ticket in our raffle to raise funds for people who can't afford the cost of emergency care for their pets. You'll also be able to see and purchase Dog-A-Long Walking Harnesses for pets with mobility problems, as demonstrated by Jed the Wonder Dog.

What's happening this year?

The aim of the annual Pet Expo is to celebrate the importance of pets in society, the social benefits to the community, young and old.

Come and participate in different activities for you and your pet including competitions, and see many different breeds of dogs. Nillumbik Shire Council has in place a cat curfew, off-leash areas and prohibited areas as well - come and find out why!

Some activities that pets and their owners can take part in will include Pet competitions for Fancy Dress, Happiest Pet, Longest Whiskers, Fastest Fetch, Obstacle Courses.

For the kids we have the Victor and Victoria stage show, a painting workshop, face painting and more...

Westpac Sausage Sizzle Fundraiser

Friday 21st May 2010 from 11.45am until 2pm

Please join us at the Elsternwick branch of Westpac on the corner of Glenhuntly and Orrong Roads for our very first event - the Westpac Sausage Sizzle Fundraiser.

Westpac are providing all produce on the day and proceeds from this event will go directly to the Pet Medical Crisis Fund.

All donations made by Westpac employees will be doubled by the bank.
